One thing you notice when you first step foot in London is the vast amount of homeless men and women living on the streets. We wanted to started a dialogue with some of these people, to offer a small helping hand by buying them lunch, but most of all to create a conversation. To get to know them, to hear and share stories, to create genuine human connection. As we learned how they ended up in the positions they're in today, we began to understand the unforgiving nature of life. How anybody could end up in those same circumstances. Looking around at the tall, glass buildings surrounding us in the financial district, it almost felt like an eerie post-apocalyptic dystopia.
