A piece about the lingering impact of colonial exploitation. Using holographic material to show the glistening value of natural resources, we are still feeling the effects of resource extraction in countries to this day (mostly in the global south). As modern society mines minerals and harvests forests to fuel technological progress and comfort, I question: whose progress is this really for? At what cost? And who is left to regenerate what remains?
